The 2007/2008 Series V ball tournaments has come to a end for another year. This year has surpassed our previous years with even more teams and with more teams comes people that have not played at Kellys Bleachers. We had people coming from as far as 2 hours away and we are glad to host the tournament for you fine people. Even though the finals only had 6 teams it was an all day event. The level of teams was pretty evenly matched and it was because of the level of play being so even that we had more tie breakers in this tournament the we have had in all the previous tournaments combined.
Teams for the finals were : Jamaica 2008, 100% Recyclable, Go Brewers, Who's Your Daddy, Superbad & Jungle V-ball Fever.
Taking 1st place is Jamaica 2008--the team name is fitting considering that the first place prize is 4 trips to Jamaica and a nice amount of cash in their pockets. This team started the finals one person short and still came away with a win.
Taking 2nd was "Who's Your Daddy" ,if you think you have heard this team name before you are correct they are winners. They play hard and concentrate on one thing and that is the ultimate goal of taking home the prize. You guys may not have taken it this year but I am sure we will be seeing you in the finals again soon.
Tied for 3rd place was "Jungle V-ball Fever"---Talking about playing hard and having fun. The team with the smiles. With Terry as their fearless leader they stay on their toes and compete hard.
The other team tied for 3rd place is "Superbad"~~~You guys really did well throughout the entire day. I think this team had the most tie breakers take place out of all the teams this fine day. From the continuous grunts & groans from the teacher on the right side to the broken finger they just didn't wan to give up.
